Formal report

We will follow up your assessment session with a full report.

Your child’s report will be authored by the clinicians you met at your assessment and will include:

  • your child’s medical history
  • a breakdown of each of the areas that were assessed
  • a conclusion summary
  • your child’s diagnosis if applicable
  • various recommendations relevant to your child
  • signposting to local services, charities and other organisations which offer help
  • useful strategies and advice for you to support your child.

What advice do you offer?

After your assessment, we will have a conversation and provide advice the same day about your child.

Recommendations and advice will be specific to a child’s needs. The following areas can potentially be covered:

  • recommendations for the type of support that child might need in the educational setting
  • recommendations on which other professionals could offer support and guidance on finding therapists in your area
  • signposting to local services, charities and other organisations which offer help
  • useful strategies and advice for you to support your child at home and within the community.

This practical advice and information can be shared with your child or young person’s educational setting, and any other relevant people or professionals.

What about my child’s medication?

We will gather information from you during the triage phone call and during the face-to-face assessment about any medication your child may be on.

You should continue with the advice of your medical professional. We are unable to recommend or prescribe medication. If your child takes chronic/prescribed medication, please ensure he/she takes it on the day of assessment as per instructions from your medical doctor.
